Catching up on a couple weeks of The Week in Sports that I wrote but didn't publish. Less topical, still funny.


US immigration has been a huge topic this week, and there was reportedly a surge of people coming across the border this weekend. The influx stemmed from a miscommunication, as people kept hearing the guards saying the phrase "US Open"

Golf fans are up in arms about Phil Mickelson hitting a moving ball and taking a 2 while putting. What golf fans seem to be forgetting is that Tiger broke an even bigger golf rule last year by taking a 5 while driving.

Rumors were swirling all week that Sarah Huckabee Sanders was going to be leaving the White House. When asked to comment, Sanders responded that she wants to wait and see where Kawhi gets traded before she commits to leaving

The Lakers are noted as heavy favorites to end up trading for Kawhi now that he’s on the market. From the Spurs’ perspective, the Lakers have the best package to offer, as Kyle Kuzma, Lonzo Ball, and Brandon Ingram would all be welcome additions in RC Buford’s attempt to collect all the light-skin guys in the league

New Jersey legalized sports betting last week in a much-awaited move. There are major concerns among the Sports Books that if they’re too successful, Jay-Z will pick them up and move them to Brooklyn.

The defending champion Astros are on a roll with their 11 straight wins. The streak has been downplayed, however, because another Houston team already had a streak of 27 this month.
